Baking Apple Crisp!

The kids were so excited to bring in their apples, ready to make the perfect autumn dessert. As we baked, we learned new vocabulary words such as ingredients, oven temperature, whole cup, half cup, and third cup. It was fun trying to say the word "cinnamon." :) The kids discovered that there was a difference between white and brown sugar, and that butter turns into a liquid in the microwave. We smelled the delicious aromas as we waited for the crisp to cool off, and were so happy when we could finally eat it. For most of us it was a fun chance to try something new.
